Vintage Sta Press Trousers
Since the mid-1800s, Levi Strauss & Co. have been the iconic innovator of men’s trousers and jeans. During the 1960s, Levi’s announced something that would shake the fashion industry: they inserted a permanent crease into a pair of trousers, which later coined the name ‘Sta Prest Trousers. The Sta Prest Trousers, pronounced as “Stay” Prest, was a play on words for stay pressed, which meant no ironing was needed - perfect!
After that, the more stereotypical go-to look for Skinheads was to have short shaved hair, a button-down shirt, Sta-Prest trousers, and boots with an army-style shine, unlike the Mods, who would prefer to style a suit with slim trousers and lapels.
Famously robust, you can throw these in the wash over and over, never worrying about losing that iconic ‘pressed’ line; they’ll always look the part. No matter what you match them with, our sta prest trousers are the perfect way to bring the style of Mod fashion back to the current day.
Our customers love our Sta Trousers at Relco for their perfect fit and excellent quality.
