The 1960s was a beautiful time, and we want to bring back that feeling when you wear our expertly crafted retro knitted polo shirts. The popularity of polo shirts was massive, and throughout the years, it has managed to keep its popularity; here at Relco London, we aim to provide you with polo shirts with a vintage twist.

The history of knitted polos is an interesting story, all starting with John E.Brook who was very much inspired by the British look and clothing of the time. When he visited the United Kingdom in the late 19th Century, on this trip he saw that polo players had buttons put on the collars of their shirts to keep the tips from flapping in their faces while playing.

Brook took a lot of inspiration from this and when he returned back home to America he implemented a similar design and then started manufacturing shirts with button-down collars, which became the first-ever attached collar shirts that were sold in the US.
